Won’t start

Needs some help guys bike cut out the other frosty morning then started straight back after 10 minutes
Then was fine for days then this morning cut out again (frosty) 10/15 mins of riding..
This time wouldn’t restart & battery went flat walked rest of way to work went back hour or so later & bike fired straight up no charging! & rode perfect then when I left work tonight started straight up ran for couple on mins then cut out & wouldn’t restart!! HELP!

Short in your kill switch on the right grip. Do you shut bike off with key or with kill switch. Thats where I would start. I learned to be very careful with the kill switch because it does just what you describe.

Check the kickstand switch too.

Electrical issues can be a SERIOUS PITA! That's why I always start with the simple things and check the battery connectors.

Sounds to me like a charging system problem and you have a low charged battery. I think the reason it is starting back up after letting it sit is due to a surface charge that will naturally happen inside the battery after it sits for awhile. I'll bet that if you put the battery on a charger (slow charge) for a few hours it will start and run just fine but it won't be charging
Edit:
check the connector for the stator. wiggle it to see if you have a bad connection there. Also look at the stator plug itself to see if it is burnt and melted in any spot. also you say it wasn't charging,how do you know that? How did you check for charging?

Yeah, all good checks, but one of the switches sounds more like it because it just shuts off while running, Then starts back up after awhile. You don't have tall handle bars do you?

Here's a couple of stories- We were riding and one of the bikes kept dying, Fiddle around with it and jump start it and off we'd go, did this 3 or 4 times, got to a town with a late night auto store and figured we'd get a battery, headlight was getting dim. Borrowed some tools to take the battery out and didn't need them, the cables were loose, you'd think jump starting the bike we would have noticed, but it was dark, that's my story and sticking to it.
The other was my Roadie, on hard left hand turns in town it would just die. It came with 3" up and back risers, the cables were routed so that it put tension on them and just enough so that the kill switch wire would pull some bare wire out and ground it, re routed the cables and no more problems.
