Clutch & Brake lever questions

Ok, I did extensive searches before deciding to post my own questions. I've seen a few "half" answers, but still have issues with things. I've taken my R* partially apart, but am not a mechanic, I'm learning as I go. I had to replace the gas float in the tank (it was rattling around in there)- and I figured that since I had the tank off, I'd learn how to repaint it. (fenders and side covers as well). I've done the brakes & know how to swap out the front master cylinder from doing it on my V-Star (added apes to that one). My issue with the roadie is that I have small hands - great for grabbing the tiny screws that fall into tiny places, but not so great for the long oem levers. I'd love to just swap out levers, but the "universal fit" sets don't seem like they'll work on both the brake & clutch sides. The clutch side has the little black kill switch attached to the bottom, so the lever needs the little tab thing to engage it, right? Getting the full aftermarket sets would be fine, I'd love to have a nicer looking master cylinder once I get the 14" apes on her, but again - the kill switch has a square plug & the newer sets come with a round hole to plug into... is there an aftermarket plug I can splice onto the wires? I have no idea what it's called... sorry for being such a newb to all this! Also, since this is on a 2000, I don't feel comfortable heating & bending the oem levers, they've been through enough in their lifespan...
