I recently redid gasket covers on my crankcase and stator cover on the bike (both left and right side gasket covers) and I noticed that
1. My left side of bike, where the rubber grommet fits into the groove of the casing, it has oil spitting out of the little hole that is on that grommet, as if it's overfilled with oil which I know it isn't, or it's building up too much pressure inside for some reason. Not sure what the issue is there. I do know that when I bought bike, previous owner did not put gasket on they used rtv Silicone as backup and it leaked pretty badly, and it soaked the small breather for crankcase with oil. I checked the hose all the way to the top of crankcase under the fuel tank and nothing was inside causing it to be blocked. Just the filter itself that sits under bike was coated in oil. Other than that no idea what it could be.
2. On the Right side where the stator goes in, the magnetized side, the rubber grommet that fits in the groove it's all chewed up and causing oil to seep out and run along the bottom of the block and have drips come on garage floor. Not much, but again it is cold here in Indiana thus making the oil thicker and maybe not leak as much as it might if it were warm out. Question for that, do I need a whole new stator or am I able to get a pickup wiring off oemparts.com and replace that wiring which comes with a new rubber grommet? If so, I wasn't really able to see how to connect it to existing stator. Previous owner had the stator replacled a year ago, not sure if it was oem or not.
