I swapped out the loud sucking sound KN metal cone filter I got with my new-to-me 2012 Silverado. Thanks to the amazing mlhaprer here on forums (my spare parts guardian angel) I have the OEM air filter case with a KN filter in it. Still trying to figure out where the stock filter case breather hose went to, so its just a stock filter case with metal KN in it attached directly to TB, no hosing.
After putting it on I fired up the bike and there was a metal engine clank every 3 or so seconds. After about 2 minutes it subsided and went away. Very coincident to having swapped air filter setup so may be falsely attributing it to that. Could a change in air flow dynamics cause an issue or, or period of engine adaptation causing clanking?
Took off A and put on B:

Thanks all!
