Grip glue

I know this question has probably been beat to death but I guess I just never payed attention to it! So I now have some sweet aluminum handgrips and the throttle side is now mounted and working smoothly, but what is the best stuff to secure the left side? Is there something that will keep them in place, but if I ever change my mind and want something different, will I be able to get them off without damaging anything?

Wrap the bar with electrical tape. Then twist the grip on following the directions you wrapped the bar. Works great.

Wow really? Never heard of that! But will it stay put even in the hot of summer ,sitting in the sun?

Mine has. The glue that came with mine let go after a year. Was told about the tape and it worked great .The key is not too much where it's impossible to get on, and not too little .

Well the go to grip glue in the off road world was always 3M Weatherstrip Cement. Honda's Grip glue was exactly the same as that stuff too, but the 3M was cheaper. I never worried about removal though, I would just cut the safety wire wraps and cut the grip off.

A tube of grip glue is about $4 at the dealer or online but then you will have to pay shipping unless you find it on ebay with free ship or amazon prime.
