75,000 - 100,000 miles

60K on my original Yamaha belt still looks good.

According to the Owner & Service manuals, there is no service interval on the Roadstar belts - or any other Star with a belt drive from a Bolt to a Raider.
They can break but that's not very common.
I honestly can't remember the last time we had a Roadstar in the shop at Rock River Powersports for a belt.

They can get stuff stuck in them, especially with the belt guard removed.
Depending on what is stuck in there, it could put a hole in it.
Belts with holes usually fail pretty quickly.

I changed a belt and both pulleys on my XVS950T. Somehow the belt kept needing to be tightened at around 30,000 miles and when checked out it was moving to the edge and trying to crawl off the pully. It was supposedly lined up properly and after being replaced it was great until the cage decided to turn left in front of me.

A couple of models. I think the 950 and 1100. Had alignment issues with the belts. Not every bike but plenty of them on those models

I had one of the ones with issues, I still like my Yamaha bikes (soft spot for Kawasaki also). I enjoyed my 950 and I continue to ride my 650.

I changed my 03 last year with 45,000 miles it was the original belt. You could hardly see the Yamaha printing and was starting the show some small cracks. I replaced it with a Carlisle Panther belt.
