Swapped from Mobile V-Twin 20w50 to Rotella T6 15w40 + a shot of ZDDP additive a couple weeks back thinking it'd be a better weight for early season riding up here in the frozen North of eastern South Dakota. I now have a pretty significant drip that appears to be coming from from the stator wire grommet. Best I can figure the leak was probably already there but masked by the heavier oil - it is pretty grimy underneath. I'm sure the cold weather hasn't been helping (garage still in process, just now getting heat in).
Anyway, looks to be a reasonably straightforward process, just a new gasket and some sealant. Is there anything else I should be looking for or changing while I'm in there?
Any thoughts on the origin of the leak that I may have missed?
