  • are there any stock aftermarket replacement carbs for 06 1700 roadstar?

Took carb off to clean it over a year ago now not sure I can put it back together. (my stupidity, so please no rude comments). Now trying to figure out where to get a new carb but not wanting to make all kinds of upgrades to use a high performance carb. Is there anywhere to get a carb that will work with stock set up? All advice welcome. Thanks.

You said carb is apart not trashed? why would you need another? there are folks here that can help most put stuff back together, Do you have a manual of some sort?

Clean it, and reassemble it, yourself and save some $.

A lot of do-it-yourself info out there on these carbs if you look.

It might help if you fill out your profile. maybe someone lives near you that could help.
Plenty of y-tube videos that rebuild the carb. Used carbs are about $250.00.
Is the word PICTURE a picture?

Box it up, mail it to me, and I'll put it together and set it up for your stock bike for $30., you pay shipping both ways.

Better to do it yourself and learn about your bike....But if that's not your thang, that's a great offer from Duke....

There's nothing magical or mystical about carburetors
The stock carbs on the R/S can easily be built into a good street carb.
Get you a service manual (I prefer the Chilton books for their color-coded wiring diagrams), study-up right smart on the carb, consult the tech articles in The Clinic on jetting, setting the float level, & adjusting the accelerator pump.
Learn something new about your scooter.
              You can do this !.
I love the smell of smoked pork in the morning !

from Calif. You've come to the right place. I too was intimidated by the carb when I first got my R*, but I've since taken it apart and put it back together so many times, I've literally lost track. I often do my carb tuning on the side of the road now. Point being, it's doable, just takes patience. But short of that, Duke's offer sounds like a great one. I'd take him up on it long before buying another one. When he's done it will be dialed in properly for your bike. If you buy someone else's, you have no idea what you're getting.

                Best of luck!

                  Thanks Doc.
You are right, "it's doable". Nothing magical about carbs, just understanding what everything is doing in it, then making right adjustments.
