Can the fuel inlet turn ?

Im running a pumpless roady with an aftermarket tank. The petcock hole on the tank is on the right side and was wondering if anyone can confirm if I can rotate the carb fuel inlet 90 degree maybe 180 to run the fuel line straight to it.

With enough "loop" not to lich it should not be a problem in terms of flow. Now...in terms of how it looks....probably gonna look pretty weird to make it functional I would think...

Could you turn the manifold so that the carb is on the left ( room enough since you’re pumpless) Just a thought… Carb inlet will then be pointing the right direction..

Then you'd have the issue that your throttle cables have to cross the frame. So you're trading one problem for another. But I like the creative out of the box thinking.

I'm pretty sure it's pressed in so you run the risk of destroying the carburetor I'm sure it could be done carbs ain't cheap though, I'm thinking the tools that you would need to remove it would destroy it so if you could get it out you need to replace it. A carburetor place would know exactly how to do it, if you could find a carburetor place. Good luck with that

guy on Facebook stated that he did it. He warmed up the carburetor and simply turned the elbow. I am 100% sure this could be done I'm not 100% sure that it would be leak free over time.

I would think it wouldn't be any different than the petcock outlet tube. I wouldn't heat and twist I would heat/remove and then tap it back in and use at least blue loctite if not red.
