ID:	121347 2003 RS. Read that fuel level should be about 4mm above the seam, at left rear. It was about 2mm below, got it to here. Carb is level as measured at the intake face and top.

I see you need a new enricher cover. Yours is looking ready to let go...

Looks like it 'might' be a little high- others that have used the method you have will probably chime in (

I figure it's much better than what it was at least. I couldn't seem to find anything that spells out exactly what orientation the carb should be in for testing it off the bike though.

moespeeds, i've checked my float level it's near enough the same as your's , my bike pulls well, i run a 175 main jet with a Baron custom needle (4th groove from the blunt end) 0.040" pilot jet changed it from a 0.035" seems to run better around town with that said it run's a little rich ,air screw is 2 3/4 turns out have you rejeted your carb?
btw it has a baron custom big air cleaner and after market pipes with baffles (think they are cobra no markings so not sure)

Isn't float supposed to be measured with carb on bike., Not in vise? Bike vertical. Left rear of carb. ?

It can be done in the vice, as long as the slide diaphragm cover is level.. I do this every time I do carbs.

Duke, same setting in vice? 4-5mm above bowl seam. Slide diaphragm cover level both directions?

Looks like your fuel level is on the low side, but it will work. You shouldn't have any carb puke unless the needle sticks open.
