  • What a difference!

Anybody on the fence about going pump-less and porting their intake should not wait! Go on and do it! What a difference it made in my bike! Just got back from a 60 mile ride thru a small town and back roads to the interstate and the bike has never run this smooth or responsive! Never starved for fuel, idled great and with the first start up this morning choke for about 10 sec. push in and go. No hesitation what so ever!

Now if I can get that damn small leak I have behind the front pulley fixed I'd be good to go!

Thanks to Duke for the ported intake and guidance on getting this stuff completed!

Great to hear! Seriously thinking of doing the same on my 2003. Besides the performance aspect, I like the idea of one less part on my bike I need to worry about going out and leaving me along side of the highway. How long did each “procedure” take you?

Just finished going Pumpless on my 3rd Road Star sitting in the garage today. I was against it at first... But after my white bike wouldn't crank (in the garage luckily) I went ahead and did the Pumpless conversion. It is nice having one less thing to worry about for sure

Gonna port over the winter. Are only the o rings needed to put all back together once done NCB? JC

I used just a little film of RTV gasket maker on the flange of the intake with new o-rings. No leaking! The pumpless mod and install of the intake (the intake had already been ported by Duke) can be done in 2 hours if you have done mechanical work before.

Your welcome. Glad you like it and is working good for you.

There is a lot more to porting a manifold, then by just taking off the edges of the corners, like Barons manifolds sells. Barons manifolds do help air flow, but there is a lot of room for improvement, if done right.
