Clutch, kickstand neutral switch question.

Nothing yet. I am getting help with it now, just dropped it off this weekend. Ill let you know the issue when I find the reason for no spark.(it’s stock except for Vance and Hines long shots)

The pickup coil is testing bad. Is that a part replaceable by itself or is part of the stator? Thanks for the help guys!

Yes, they are replaceable.
The pick up coil is located and mounted on the inside of the clutch cover. Not often, but they have been known to go bad.

Thank you, The OHM test shows it as bad. I will order it and see how it goes. Since the clutch cover is off I guess Ill swap the Diaphram spring out of the clutch too.

Update, it took a while to get the pickup coil but she is finally running again. While we had it apart I put the ebc clutch spring in, what a difference! The hardest part was, it appears the pickup coil was done before, the screws holding the cable stay in the clutch cover. They were red lock tited on and had to be heated to remove. Other than that it went semi smoothly.

Yeah, It just had me baffled that the pickup coil went as soon as I replaced the manifold and rebuilt the carb. Usually its something you just touched......
