Hey guys!
Been a while, mostly since there has ben alot of personal shit to deal with and with my rodie, shit what to say...
There was an short circuit somewhere, a wire with bad insulation most likely rubbing against the frame.
It came smoke from somewhere around the battery...
I located the wire (was in that area) and was pretty satisfied, thinking that was the issue.
Anyways, changed some bad wires, ignition switch, rebuilt the carburetor, changed the intake manifold, and then.. full of anticipation i turned the key, pushed the button,
engine turns just fine, but won´t fire up.
There is nooo sign of spark at all.
I THINK the pickup coil is fine, from what i´ve found to read and checking it with a multimeter.
And since the starter spins, i´m pretty sure that it´s not the neutral switch or the kickstand switch etc.
So i was kinda convinced that it had to be a short circuit in the ECU unit (witch is located in the area the smoke came from).
And since i probably have all kinds of diagnoses that probably don´t even have names yet, I could not resist to try to open that piece of s....
So... this is kinda where i´m at. so i got some questions... lol
Does anybody know a good way to get rid of all the putty thing?
If i don´t find the issue inside the ECU - does anybody have any other ideas?
Has anyone ever tried to open up / repair their ECU?
There must be a way to delete it? I mean it is only necissary for the ignition right?
Some wierdo must have deleted it and found another way to get signal to the ignition?
PLEASE say so lol..
Even if the ECU wasn´t the issue to begin with it will most likely be one of them now!

Come on, i trust you guys!
