Gauges horn signals all out

I started my bike the other day and these issues came up. Fuses good. WTF? Is an 06 midnight star 1700. What am I missing?

Electrical grounds
There are a bunch of ground connections in the headlight bucket.
Start at the battery, then work forward

from Solon, IA. As SbTx_Rider said, start checking your connections to make sure things are tight and clean. Have you been anywhere in there that may have caused a connector to come loose? Sometimes we're our own worst enemy for things like this.

Just in the driveway. Worked last time out this time! Like WTF OVER! Grounds under gauges seem ok and battery area looks good. Next will look in headlight box!

Take the battery connections apart, clean the with fine sandpaper and reconnect. You can’t always tell from the way they look.

The easiest way to check a ground is with a test light. You just put the clamp on a good ground and put the tip on the hot side of whatever you are testing. They are relatively inexpensive and some will even display voltage.

Thank you all for the welcomes! This is going to drive me further crazier. Am sure it is a Japanese plot against us but somebody ha to have had this problem. Is there a fusable link I can’t locate?

Just letting you all know, I am stupid. I tested one side of my 20a fuse and evidently didn’t do the other. I again looked into the fuse box and the 20a was lit up. I changed it and now all is good! Thank you all for helping me to solve it. I need to learn more bike stuff!

Glad that you found it and now you probably need to carry a couple of spares and try to figure out why the fuse was blown.

Fuses that blow usually indicate a problem… if you didn’t do anything to cause it to blow…. It will probably happen again… i would advise checking the backbone wire harness all the way to the headlight bucket…. A common short circuit is found in the running light bar up front where the wire turns to go into the running light… that 90 degree wire turn has been known to chafe the insulation off…
the headlight bucket connections can also show evidence of heat at the connectors….

Yes that light bar wire will mess your life up especially at night if it decides that’s the time it wants to go. I had to rewire those lights and it’s a pain in the ass.
