    I am in Tampa and I have checked the fuses but I did not check the voltage. Fuses are good on the starter relay. I will check this week to see if things changed. I also do not know anyone with the same bike I just moved here about 2 years ago and I am gone more than home so that doesn't help much. I am going to stop by a local shop to see if they have anything comparable and see if I can swap ECU. Worth a try

      Good luck. Hopefully you can find an '08+ for the swap. If not, I'd be willing to put your ECU in my bike and see if it primes the pump and runs if you feel comfortable putting it in the mail. The ECU should fit in one of those $5 flat rate mailers.

          Hey sorry I have not. I chased some wires but all are good. I also ordered a rebuild kit for the fuel pump so I'll try to get that done one of these days. I talked to a shop and they were kind of stumped as well. Said they could look at it but it would be. While so I think I'll test my luck with the $50 rebuild kit for the fuel pump from black Friday. I'll keep you posted and the forum tho. Thank you

            Hey Brad, so I'm still stuck on this bike... I got with a guy who knows roadstars and said he has never seen one he couldn't fix.... Until now. I told him what I had done and he said it was probably something simple I looked over... Well over a month in now and he still cannot figure it out. Checked everything I did as well as the sensors and fuses in which I did as well. With no luck. I have the fuel pump but as I stated it works when wired directly and he did the same and said keep on looking cause it shouldn't be that. I have to head out again and will be leaving this with him for a few weeks to troubleshoot... Hopefully when I am back I'll have an answer. I'll keep you posted and get on the forum to update as well.

              Yeah after we tested the ECM and relay you would think it would have to be something simple. I hope he can run across whatever it is. I know I'm curious what it could be.

            Hello all. It's been over a year and I ended up bringing the bike to a Yamaha dealership. With no help. They started to say it was the knock over sensor and changed that, however, with no luck, they put in a new fuel pump and it did not change anything. Checked the injectors and they were good. They had the bike for 4 months or so and nothing came about fixing it. I went to pick up the bike and it seems to be worse off now .. I have missing bolts and things were u plugged. I raised hell and after talked to the service manager he was stumped on the bike and sorry for the issues. I left with no bill however I feel like I'm behind square one now. I went to turn the bike over today and the starter relay just clicks like crazy when I turn it over. No starter engagement anymore and the fuel pump still does not prime.


            If anyone is in the Florida (Tampa) area I would really like a recommendation on a shop or someone who would like to take on a project. If not I think I'll be getting rid of it as I really do not have time to be chasing ghosts and not getting anywhere. I have a video of trying to start the bike today and I really hope it is not a starter as I checked it prior to bringing it to the shop and it was fine.

              My battery is overheating and losing power . What could be causing this ?

                On 1.5 amp trickle charger for most of winter . I have always done this with NO problems in the past . Maybe a bad brand new battery ?

              overcharging or a internal short in the battery. Could be overcharging due to a internally shorted battery.

                It could be bad terminals, corroded, bad connection, internal short or a bad or faulty voltage regulator. I would check the battery connections and have it tested and then check the voltage regulator.
