Hello all,
It just occurred to me that every other bike I have owned or ridden will start/run with the side stand down when in neutral. Pretty standard, right? My beloved roadie will only start or run with the side stand up. Not a huge issue, but it would be nice if it didn’t kill it every time I put the side stand down momentarily. Thought about bypassing it entirely but then would lose the safety if I ever decided to be a doofus and execute a left hand pirouette over the side stand.
-Starts with side stand up, clutch pulled, whether neutral or in gear
-Dies immediately when side stand extended whether neutral or in gear
Do your roadies run in neutral with the kicker down? A little perplexed since the side stand switch works and tells the bike to shut off, and the clutch switch works, the neutral light works, but it just doesn’t run on its stand in neutral. I’d love your input on this and what to check and troubleshoot, or if this is just the way they were wired up.
Thanks!
Brandon
