Look at the information that Shores posted. (Thank you Steve.)

I used the bottom bango M8 fitting part of a head oil feed line, cutting the line with a tubing cutter just below the bend at the tee. The line is 1/4" od, and using a premium SS compression fitting works perfectly to mount the gauge to the oil line. This allowed me to use a port on the case that feeds the crank bearings and put the gauge where it's mounted as shown. I Made a aluminum bracket to help hold the gauge rigid, using a stud and nuts to retain the bracket.

At the port location that I installed the oil line to, it would be the same bolt as the oil feed line from the case to the heads. That banjo bolt is a 8mm x 1.25 thread x 22mm long.

is the bolt you tied into an 8mmx 1.25 bolt? And if so, how long was the banjo bolt you installed. I am ordering a gauge and a banjo nut to mount an oil pressure gauge like you did.

should be 80psi. And the oil gauge port is on the right side bottom of the engine. As per yamaha. Silver and black motors have two differant size fittings. But if your happy thats all that matters.

My gauge shows 70 psi during cold start up. I believe that's when the bypass is opened.

The port I used was a main port that feeds the left crank bearing, #1 connecting rod bearing, left starter/generator shaft journal, and the heads rocker arms. The port is just below the banjo fitting for the heads, and is machined for a m8 banjo fitting. I used a old head manifold line and cut the banjo fitting line where it starts to go 90 degrees at the tee. The line is 1/4", and I bought a premium stainless compression fitting to use on the oil gauge line. Using a piece of 1" aluminum strap as a support bracket, and studded the right bolt hole on the starter shaft journal cover. The 1.5", 0 to 100psi gauge is very rigid with the engine and is a Marshall liquid filled type.

Im looking to install an oil pressure gauge on the 07 roadstar 1700 . I've looked and cannot find anything on it . Mainly like where to tap in at that would give the most accurate reading . Found a few videos but nothing showing the actual process. Thanks in advance fellas.
