Detachable sissy bar w/ hardbags

Hello all,
I'm wondering if anyone has done a detachable sissy bar setup with hard bags. I bought the bike with hard bags and would like to be able to install a detachable kit just don't know if it will work. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Yamaha made a detachable sissybar. [I have one] I should work with your bags no problem. Check out the one below. It will also require some mounting hardware. This should be it here but you'll have to verify:

Thanks I did see that. Do you happen to know if the stock sissy bar works with the detachable plates?

no it does not. detatchable upright is round where it bolts intobthe arms vs. rectangular.

Why not just use the stock fender mounts and sissybar? There’s just four small bolts to remove the sissybar. The fender mounts then stay in place.

I thought about just taking off the sissy bar but I want to run a solo seat and that thing just looks awkward sticking out of no where. I do remember there was something about a small bar that went on as a replacement. Anyone have any leads on that?

It’s called a Landon bar because a past member, Landon made them. They are a unicorn. Others have made them also and you can get a similar cheap thin metal one on eBay. Maybe called a grab bar.

For some folk it is easier to get an extra fender so you can just swap them for a truly clean solo setup..................

I just made spacers out of aluminum rod. Four bolt and eyebrows with sissy bar removed and spacers installed. 5mins tops tonswitch back.
