Thats better for your hearing too! I have tinnitis from MC riding and it sucks. I now always use silicone plugs.

do you have a picture of how you braced your mufflers? If I remember right I think you said in a post on the old clinic that you went off of the bottom of your saddlebag bracket, is that right?
i'm kinda debating about going this way, especially since I already have the mufflers. Not sure how I would brace then though. (just kinda thinking out loud) (on the keypad lol)

Those brackets are for use on a RSV and won't work on the RS saddlebag brackets. I will remove one of my saddllebags later today and post a picture of the brackets I made for my mufflers that bolts to the saddlebag bracket.

Yes I know that but cike was asking what Jclevesque did and why my comment included the words "Need RSV bags and lower bracket for this mod." lol.

you don't have to remove your bag to get me a pic. (but thanks) The picture that was already posted answered my question. I'm debating if it would be worth it to make brackets that mount off of my frame like my freedoms duals use. or maybe making a new saddlebag bracket that I could also use as a muffler bracket. I have a homemade bracket mounting my HD heritage bags.
Mainly i'm just thinking of what I could be ( and may do) as it is winter time and I have no mods planned

Sorry roadiemort. I read through the post quickly and didn't notice that part of the statement. My specialty in life is is inserting my foot in my mouth and as usual, I did it again!

Here's a pic of the bracket(s) I made. They are pretty high tech. I have Rinehart mufflers with Bassani True Dual headers, but it's the same exact mounting setup as stock HD mufflers.

I used 1" x 1/4" flat bar and drilled a hole through the bag bracket. Then used stainless aircraft nuts and stainless bolts to keep things from vibrating loose. The trick on the nut tension on the bag brackets is to just snug the aircraft nut so as to not compress the tubing of the bracket. I have Geno's Lowering kit but you don't need to lower the bags on your bike if you don't want to. You just have to make the muffler brackets longer.

Rode all last year with them and no problems at all.

Here's 2 more pics from the side. The distance from the center of the axle to bolt on the bracket on the muffler is 9". Sorry I can't take a pic from further back right now. I would have to get my snow tractor out of the barn and jockey the bikes around. Too damn cold in the barn at the moment.
