That's going to depend on which RAP you use. There is no 'standard' RAP to use for reference.

Stock GL1800 Goldwings are also a 900# bike. Quite a bit more than the average Roadstar.

how many clicks are you guys turning the (RAP) after just starting to feel the fluid push, just curious to see where others are comfortable, i usually have it at 4 turns (clicks) for 1 up im 200lbs and 6 turns for 2 up

If it is a "Roadwing" that is the name given to the already modified Goldwing shock. It can be installed alone or with a pump or RAP to adjust preload. A Roadwing is bolt on ready.

Can you get these roadwing shocks ready to just drop in? My AZ Roadstar needs a new rear shock, but I don't have the time or tools out there to modify the shock. Need something that I can take out of the box, and put right into the bike. Otherwise was looking at a Progressive.

Quick tip: I was *just* out in the garage putting my shock back together, after having it rebuilt, and I noticed that when Jason drilled the new holes on the bottom fork, he drilled one larger than the other, so the dogbone bolt only goes through one way. I mention this, because if I didn't know any better and was making my own Roadwing, I'd probably drill both the same size.

I just got a very very good deal.... 5k mile GL1800 shock from a 2012 trike conversion.... $64.50 shipped. Complete with collar ready to convert. I been looking for 2 years for them.... First one I found under 100..hell under 200..

im just mad that i cant still sell them for $150 like i did at the start. but after all i stopped counting after 300 shocks so pickings are a bit slimmer than before
