Valve Covers

Does anyone know how to get the chrome off the valve covers? I want a brushed look like the break fluid reservoir. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Soda blast or sand blast.

Ok great, I was thinking that might be the way to do it. I thought I would ask around incase someone knew another way.

You would need something pretty aggressive to get the Chrome off but then a bead blast to the aluminum underneath would make a nice satin finish

If I was still working I would have used the stroke sander at work. I would have used a hand platen with felt glued to the side touching the belt, this thing will make you shit your pants the first time you snag the belt and it snaps with a loud bang lol.
