      That be a fact , they are no longer doing their cams for XV1600’s . They said it was due to the lifter manuf. . not making the special lifters they use anymore .

          If that is the case then they wouldn't be doing cams for any Roadstar. the lifters had a ceramic coating on the bottoms and they are the same for 1600 and 1700's. I know when I bought my cam they were waiting on lifters to come in for a few weeks before they could ship my order.
          With that ,that will pretty much put an end to future big bore kits for Roadstars.

          Edit: I just went to his sight and he still sells for 1700's he just discontinued 1600 cams. That is odd if someone told you that it was because of lifters because they all take the same lifter. I would think that maybe he doesn't have any 1600 cam cores to build as they have become a unicorn part. Or maybe he has 1700 cams on the self and just enough lifters to make a few kits for 1700's and when they are gone then it will be all over for the Roadstars.

            I'm guessing that there isn't enough demand for the cams. Any slightly worn 1700 cam can be turned down for the 1600, so there should be plenty of cores around. If enough people wanted cams, I'd think that PR would start them up again.

          Hi Dave, Patrick Racing told me it was not being able to get the lifters . Cam Core I have brand new cams I purchased for them to grind ( XV 1600 ) . Thanks for the info on 1700 lifters .!

            Just a note I installed Torquer cams from L&D,!lifters were new stock RS lifters not ceramic coated . I sold the bike to a friend of mine 4 years ago still no issues with lifters / Cams .

              I'm sure the ceramic coating isn't necessary, It's just something Patrick Racing does to insure a higher quality product. You do need the adjustable pushrods though.
