  • Progressive 465 Rear Shock

I've noticed that everyone on here seems to love their RoadWings(and in all likeliness will be the route I choose to go as well), but I haven't seen any information/experiences with the Progressive 465-1139 or the 465-1140. Also curious if anyone has tried out the 850/1200 rate spring from PacificCoastStar. I'm a big boy weighing in over 350. Ride solo but I figure my bike can't tell the difference...lol Any and all information regarding the afore mentioned is much appreciated. Thanks to all.

I had the 465 on my 07 no complaints other than the cost. No RAP on the one I had.

Yeah its looking like just modifying an old GL1800 shock is gonna be the way to go price wise. Thanks

As Mort said, cost is the major factor

You will have to do a little more to the shock to fit the R* before you call it a day lol.

Prescient the heads up. Spent the last couple weeks going over a lot of the discussions and tech articles regarding the road wing. Prescient the heads up. Spent the last couple weeks going over a lot of the discussions and tech articles regarding the road wing. Just wanted to get some feedback on other options

The GL1800 spring is a heavy spring. No need to go heavier.

And I’m going to need to stop using voice to text. Lol. Half my sentences are not making any sense

It's not all about the spring rate the dampener makes a huge difference as well the GL 1800 valving is much firmer there for you don't get as much of a pogo effect as you do with the road star damper. The road star spring rate is 728 pounds per inch the standard Gold Wing shot is 840
