Im Wondering when i get my bike home from the dealer this Wednesday if I'll have to leave it on an enclosed patio or will it go through a 30 inch door to a heated back room, the specs say the bike is 38.6 inches wide but if i remove the boards would it make the 30 inches? The 650 goes through with the boards on and tied up.

Remove the handle bars, should fit then.

What I mean is take them out of riser, not remove totally.

I would only add that handling the bike without some means to control it could be problematic. If you decide to relocate the stock handle bars ie. remove them from the riser assembly, you may want to consider a temporary replacement and a helping hand or two. A 30" door usually has about 28" or less of clearance when you take into account door stop material and the thickness of the door near the hinge since few of them actually swing completely clear of the door jam. Removing the door itself can gain you an extra inch or so. Why not park in the enclosed space and save yourself a whole bunch of time, trouble, frustration and effort?

Handle bars are only 32 inches so that won't be a problem because you can put one end through the door at a time by turning one way then the other, i believe the 38.6 width is at the boards i know on the 650 the boards are wider than the bars, can you measure yours at the widest of point of board mounts as if the boards were off

You would have to take off board mounts to gain much. The boards also lift up some, you might gain some that way. My bike is covered and tucked in the corner for winter with the wife's car in front of it most times.
