I don't think anyone mentioned yet.... The Road Wing is a great option for rear suspension.

Just use Shoe Goo to attach a thin earth magnet to it.

The Velcro is slightly smaller than the patch.

$99 Grasshopper works great because it is soft and flexes with me and doesn’t vibrate my back like a rigid one would. It’s not adjustable. The trim is a Diamondback Tail piece that is intended to go with their HD seat. Just had to drill two holes up front to mount it and the Gresshopper.

Looks great! May i ask what backrest are you using and is the bracket on the rear fender part of said backrest? Also can the angle be adjuster further back than you currently have it?

I have the same setup jd750ace and Deerkiller are talking about. Roadwing rear and Racetech's in the front, although I just did the springs and not the emulators .I love the setup and it's world's improved over the stock stuff.

Very true. Didn’t mean to imply you can’t feel the difference unless you’re going hard. Just that it’s money much better spent than on extra horsepower, even though that’s what most people love, ha ha

I remember my Roadstar feeling so well balanced with the setup that I had. Stock suspension pretty much sucks on these bikes for anything.

We call it a Roadwing. Modified GL1800 (Goldwing) rear shock unit. Best suspension upgrade you can do in most people’s opinion around here (mine included).

Smokescreens is a member here that has done many of these. Get with him for availability/details.

While you’re at it, upgrade the front with Race Tech springs and for the cat’s ass, their emulators as well. Little more work but worth it.

I’ve had guys ask me what engine work I’ve done to make my Roadstar (2012-since sold) run so much better when riding the curvy roads in the mountains (with a passenger!). My answer, “Nothing. You can’t modify the FI bikes engine reliably anyway”. Only thing that makes it run so well is the above suspension setup.
