Has anyone "narrowed" the rear turn signals?

I'd like to shorten the rear turn signal stalks, maybe an inch on each side.
Any thoughts? It's too cold to go out to garage tonight and mess with it.
Is it as easy as shortening the inside part, and bolting the ends on again?

Depending on the year of your bike and the style, it can be easy. I have done rear and front in the past for my V Star 650 and just the front for my road star. Depending on the style, you can shorten both sides or just shorten one side and move the center mounting point. You'll need to rebuild where you cut off with various diameters of tubing and create the proper notch so that the turn signals don't rotate in the tubing. Post a photo of what you got.

Could always get lucky and find a Kuryakyn Tombstone setup. Just found this and have it coming for my black bike. I really like the look on a road star, very classic.

i always frown when people "cuctomize" rear lighting. but , its your ass . my 6 is lit up, bright and wide, with LEDs(04 and later came with LED). I have signal dynamics "BACK OFF" Brake light modulator so it glows even in the day. The lights are spaced in a manner specified by DOT so that the lighting can be seen from all angles, but, its your ass.
