Roadwing install

Just looking for advice before I buy the shock. Is there any modification required on the shock itself or to mounting points on bike?

Only a problem if you're Facebook paranoid as there are at least 4 Road Star sites that store all the pertinent info on the roadwing conversion.The original RSC's clinic JD Ace & Smokescreens were the pioneers of the process and no secrets were kept from us as folks were encouraged to do it themselves if they wanted to do so.

I know I left out the original inventor of the process but dang I can't remember his name at the moment but he made the wiring harnesses if you wanted to use the pump the shock comes with.

Not if you buy one already converted. That's what I thought the poster was talking about. I have installed probably five road wings that I've had converted and I've never had to grind anything on the dog bone or make any modifications whatsoever.

Absolutely do not spend $300 on a bear shock lol. A member on here by the name of smoke screen makes them I believe they're around 275 already converted. There's also two guys on Facebook that sell them already converted.

Thank you gentlemen! Was a little weary about buying used in the first place! But I will definitely be in contact with smokescreen and gonzodad in the coming weeks once bike rides are done for the year!

I don't know if Gonzo dad is still doing his products or not. I'm pretty sure smoke screen still is If he is out there are two guys on Facebook that usually have some in stock. If you can a manual remote adjustable pressure onod (RAP) is very nice to gomworh Roadwing...allows you to soften/stiffen the spring for more/less weight.
