I think its about 1 inch too low and I'm short myself, I'm just wondering its fairly easy to Id the method and changes made with observation & camera do know what I'm working with

Either jack it up or get a mirror and look underneath. There are about three methods of lowering a road star. One is to just flip the rocker arm or whatever it is called the shock mounts to, the other is to buy adjustable dog bones and the third method is to buy longer dog bones.

Yea, just what I needed to know.. I'm going to do this..I'll Likely use my cell camera to light it up and photograph it I might be able to their process.. be better yet if I had adjustable dog bones..Maybe! But it has to go up cause hitting the frame is a "Drag".. also, though the frame looks higher in the front, I also thinking they might have lowered the front too, I'm thinking many they just reduced the spacers size in the forks (if anything)

Can you post your Pictures on here ? If so , Take a shot of your top triple tree also . Chance the legs have been slid up in the tree , to lower the front end .

Horsehammer,
I looked at the front forks but didnt take any photos.. I dont think they been slid, all looks normal and flush.. I did get the rear shock assembly removed, and its has a nice Progressive 465-1139 with 900# spring.. and it has extended bones.. they measure about 11.63 inches center to center.. I guess its about a 1.75 - 2" drop in height from stock I'd like to have a 1/2 - 3/4 inch drop from stock.. but it too low for me a the moment. I'm on the lighter side at 140lbs, and I did notice a nice amount of sag when I sit on the bike.. so I think the 900# spring will be suffice. I'll try to attach a photo..
Can anyone verify if the Rocker Arm (Relay is as OEM set)? I'm wondering if they bought longer bones and flipped the Relay..
I need to see if anyone has and adjustable set for sale and if anyone is interested in my 11.63" (Center - Center) bones1 Photo

Ok, guess all the Docs are sleeping or working this morning.. I think the best thing for me (cost, and convenience) is I'm taking the dog bones off and having donuts/plugs welded in the current mounting holes, and going to have new slightly (closer) holes re-drilled I believe my current holes are 29.55cm (11.63) and I believe for a 3/4" drop (from the current 1 3/4 inch height) I need my new holes about 29.1 cm.. I'll just have to touch up the paint.. and install. I like the idea of the adjustable links, but a solid link is better, as think the adjustable knuckles will wear with (all the moving parts involved) them.

Late to the game here, but, i got some adjustable dog bones and because I was raising the bike i cut the all thread down about a half an inch. It seams like i remember a different bike that I was lowering and I had to get longer all thread. If I remember right it is something like 1/8 inch on the dog bones makes a 1 inch difference at the rear fender. Maybe somebody here can correct me. Oh, and the adjustable dog bones i had were just 4 hyme joints and a couple of pieces of all thread and 4 lock nuts. Had to cut down a sleeve on the forward eye of the shock too I think. Hope thats not too convoluted. It's not that life is so short, it's just that you're dead for so long.---unknown.

Yea, I almost when with the adjustable, but decided I like the solid bar design, being without the hyme joints (extra moving parts, and adjusting nut that might work loose). I've seen some used Adjustable's on Ebay, and boy they look rough.. so I favor the solid bar bones for On my aftermarket bones, I had my original holes plugged and welded, and two new holes drilled just in between the OEM distance (29cm) and the lowered aftermarket distance of 29.6... This should get me up another 1 - 1.25 inches, thus getting an overall drop about 3/4 -7/8 inch drop from OEM height.. that should get my frame up as high as my Stratoliner frame was, and maybe I wont drag that Cobra Dragster (yea I know they named them as such) Being that we are working with only a difference of about a 1/4 (and alot of impact, I think those adjustables should have fine threads for better adjustablity and thicker rods for long term strength.
