To Bling or not to Bling.

Well had my R* for around 8 months now. Done a fair bit of work on it. Its black with white pinstrip on guards and tank. Which i really like. When i first got the bike it had tips on front and rear guards. Which i also liked. Had white wall tyres only the half inch narrow band on them. Liked them as well. Was always busy to look at to me but i liked it.

Then 3 weeks ago the rear tip was loose so i removed it and was glueing some little rubber strips to where it touches the guards, just to firm it up. But then i got to looking at the rear guard and man its a nice shape and clean looking.

So removed all the tips and wowwww what a diffrence. Looks so much cleaner and i just love the shape of my guards. So i put some black tape over the white walls and boom. Its like a much clearer picture. Big diffrence.

Will replace back tyre soon with full black tyre and also front when its worn down a bit more. (Unless someone knows a way to black the white?)

Its enough with the striping , kn filter cover and cobra pipes. Also got braided lines and Imho thats enough bling.

Well for now. Crome forks and triple tree. mmmmm.

You know I gotta agree on the look difference on these bikes. Mine is without any chrome fender tips and has blackwalls. I had to add some chrome covers to the swing arms because the powder coat had gotten damaged but that's it for the added chrome. I did however replace the brushed forks with chrome so the entire front end is chrome. The bike is the midnight star so it has a black painted engine so all the candy metal flake paint really shows nicely with the minimal chrome and brass/gold accents I added.

But then again my other bike is black with WWW and every possible chrome piece made to it so there is hardly anything showing that is not covered in chrome. What I noticed is that this bike really pops out because it is basically black tins and solid chrome. So I cheated because I wanted both looks.

Are those 14" apes on the purple bike?
That's exactly the size I want on my 1600 bobber.
