i know if you have been riding awhile, we all have been cut of by cagers, what about installing side lights on your bike, especially at night, do you think it would help.

The previous owner of my bike installed a Rumbling Pride LED kit with enough lights under the fenders, tank and anything else you can cram a light under that a blind guy could see me coming at night. The lights all turn red when the brake is applied no matter what color your riding with. I did get stopped once because the cop thought I was riding with the red lights on when he saw me stopped at a light. He let me go once he realized they were only red because I had the brake applied. My buddy said he’d rather be behind me if we’re riding at night because my bike lights up the road. The RP is a great kit with a remote to change colors and do other things I haven’t needed to try yet.

I installed a pair of Hella Daytime Driving lights on my crash bar.
While I was getting it inspected, one of the employees stated that was the brightest set of lights he has ever seen. I can see the lights being reflected back to me from the street signs, during the day.

Yes, there is a lot of wiring in my headlight bucket. All of that wiring I did and it works all of the lights and horns. The passing lights only work with the high beam. When I hit the horn, a big Stebel horn, all lights come on, to ensure they know I am there.

Most bikes come with side reflectors. I always remove them when I get a new bike 'cause
A: They look like shit.
B: They're for pussies.
You could have flashing neon signs strapped to both sides of your bike and still have a car smack you down, claiming they never saw you. With the additional modern bonus of texting drivers, it's worse now than ever. If you're in the wrong place at the wrong time, no amount of lighting is gonna save you.

Sorry Father, but I respectfully disagree. I'm a firm believer of the more lights the better (to a point). I've never understood the crotch rocket designer mentality of putting tiny LED marker lights and a single headlight on an already small, aerodynamic bike that's hard to see in the first place. Cruisers have a better profile, but I run an extra set of tail lights on my saddlebags, along with a Vololight brake light license frame. Both have made a dramatic difference on how cagers follow me and react to downshifting and rolling off the throttle. Up front, it's halogen headlight with LED auxiliary lights and a set of amber running lights on the crash bars. One of my bike also has a wig wig circuit for the auxiliary lights. Been pulled over once or twice for it, but after I explain to the officer that white wig wags are not illegal in our state, they usually are fine. Definitely get you noticed during the day. Just my 2 cents worth.
