Reverse gear

Hi, is it possible to install a reverse gear on our bikes?

NASA could probably do it for you. Give them a call. A service monkey may be cheaper though.

Not easily or readily available. Buy a goldwing trike or Harley Trike or new Star Venture if you need reverse

Short answer? No. Not easily or cheaply anyway. But I find having a rider's backrest makes backing the bike up a whole lot easier; especially on slight inclines. Plus it makes riding a hell of a lot more comfortable and it's *way* cheaper too.

Forner GW rider here. The Goldwing system uses the starter. There's a lever on the left side of the bike that you pull and I assume that brings a reversing gear into play. Then you hit the Star button and the starter engages, moving you backward. It's not so fast that you can lift your feet; it's more of a decent walking speed. IIRC, you're supposed to use it no more than about 30 seconds at a shot so you don't overheat the starter.

Sad that Yelvington MRP works only for Harley. They could easily modify it for Xv bikes

I tested the Yelvington Reverse which I believe is the Suspension Technologies reverse at Sturgis a couple of years ago. It worked really good. I ask if it could be used if the bike was converted to a trike and was told no. I would want a system that works for 2 or 3 wheels. I have not added a reverse yet I'm still using Flintstone power to back the bike up but my knees are giving out. Just throwing it out there.2018 Road Glide
