2006 Roadstar for sale

2007 Roadstar for sale. $900.00. This bike needs a carb. Yes it has one. No, it can’t be fixed. I’ve tried. I took it to two different cycle mechanics (one Harley/big dog guy and a Japanese mechanic) 50 years of experience between the two and they say it cannot be fixed and the carbs are hard to find. I refuse to spend another dollar on this bike. Max air will send you a carb for $1200. No thank you. Tire in rear was fairly new. Tire in front is still good. Engine is good. Bike will not idle, does not start easily at all. And has difficulty staying running even while gassing it. Comes with a Yamaha service manual. Has a pair of highway bars not on the bike that will need love. I broke a few bolts removing them on the aluminum bracket. Clear Title in hand. Bring a trailer.

Replace the carb with a HSR42. Easy peasy. If I was closer I'd buy it from you. Spend a few hundy on the carb, and flip the bike for $3k.

I wouldn't dump it. I'm sure you can find a carb and they aren't hard at all to rebuild. Ask me, I could do it in my sleep now.

You need to quit using "qualified" mechanics. Never heard of any that no shit about a road star. I'm sure you could get a stock carb through a member here pretty cheap since a lot of folks change them.

The bike is still for sale but will probably go for a little more. Maybe $1200.00. I’ve replaced the carb with a used carb and it seems to work fine. I’ll drive it this next weekend. Also replaced the drive belt. Will be changing oil also

You’re gonna think I’m slack, but, I haven’t tinkered with the bike. I drove it around 20 miles since. It pops and smells like it runs rich so I probably need to adjust the lean mixture screw. I have a lot of irons in the fire at the moment. You’re welcome to buy it though. It needs love or it wouldn’t be so inexpensive.
