2004 for sale with lots of custom…

Hi all. I’ve owned this bike for a few years. Someone else did most of the chrome, paint, and all the other custom bits. It looks amazing. Red paint with gold metal flake that only pops out in sunshine. Raked trees, forward controls, etc. I honestly can’t list everything (I know, cliche, stupid comment that everyone uses) because I didn’t do it all. It’s very sharp though.

I installed a Curt’s ported manifold and tuned the carburetor with some help from Davej. It runs perfect and is very fast for a Roadstar. Bub pipes sound dynomite.

I’ve ridden it about 20 miles per year for the last 5-6 years. I drain the gas out once a year and run new through it with marine Stabil. Was just doing some work out in the shop today and it occurred to me how stupid it is to own a bike that never gets used. Or even sees the light of day.

It sits in my heated and air conditioned shop at all times.

Its not perfect but it is very nice. Think it has around 45k miles or so.

The battery is currently stone dead. I will provide a new one and make sure it still runs good for the next owner.

If I remember correctly, the clutch slips ever so slightly in top gear when at wide open throttle.

I have no idea what the hell anything is worth these days. Everything seems so wacko. I’ll start around $5,000. Let me know if I’m an idiot.

Not that far from you I think. Looks like a 21" Raider front wheel on it.

I'd like to see pictures of the front wheel and rear wheel. Rear wheel looks chrome front wheel looks like a polished Raider wheel. They kind of match. Very good looking machine.

Hi Lugnut. Clean and clear Michigan title. Ida Michigan is the location.

Both wheels are chrome aftermarket. They don’t match because whoever did the work did not install the rear correctly and it messed up the bearings and the wheel years ago. I got the best looking chrome wheel I could find, along with a chrome brake rotor and installed everything. Been fine since.

I got them through a member here that was a vendor for Wannaryde wheels if I remember correctly.

Sucks about the wheel issue.....hard to get top $ with mismatched wheels ESPECIALLY when they are both such good looking wheels in their own respect...either one would be fine if both rear and front matched. Would it be possible to order a matching front wheel for the newer rear?

Should be. I believe the rear wheel is a Performance Machine wheel. I was always going to get the matching front but never got around to it. Didn’t seem worth it to me at the time is all.

The wheel style might be called Virtue. Not 100% on that though.
