Every parts house, and I talked with a bunch! All are saying 45-90 days! I'm going to open the transfer case later this week, I'll find out the condition of the bearing than?

Partzilla shows it will ship in 2-3 days. I put in my zip to get that info.

If it would be worth it what about buying a middle gear transfer case that has bearings off ebay and swap out? I have seen some pretty cheap. May get you back rolling sooner that later. Just a thought man hope you get a new one.

I would remove the bearing, measure the ID, OD, and width and source one at a bearing house. There may be a number on the bearing. I'm sure Yamaha didn't make the bearing. Take the bearing with you to make sure you get the proper one. It looks like a standard Conrad style bearing.

After looking at the Partzilla photo it looks to be a deep groove, open, caged bearing, The guys at the bearing house should be able to identify it.

Yeah and be careful with partzilla……they say 2-3 days for shipping until you order it then the confirmation email will say something like parts unable to ship new estimated time 30 days from original order date…..ask me how I know…..lol…..needless to say I have an extra set of floor board moles now…..Revzilla was pretty good at in stock and shipped in 2 days though….unfortunately they are out of stock on that bearing…..

There's a place in downtown Phoenix (AZ) called Bearing, Belt and Chain. Might want to give them a call. I have got bearings there with some pretty strange profiles. Metric I.D. with S.A.E O.D and shit like that. They have never failed me. I'm sure they mail parts.

Partzilla is the one that sent me the back order notice of Oct12th. That was after they took my money from PayPal of course!

Thanks guys, I'm opening the transfer case this weekend. Should know whats up with everything by then. Will I need a bearing puller for this? Any other specialty tools that I may need?

Thanks Mort, but that part is on National back order. Which basically means it's still in Japan somewhere or sitting on a barge waiting to be unloaded?

It's not that nobody stocks anything anymore. Its just crazy delays with getting parts to the states. I have customers that have been waiting on parts that have been on B/O for going on 10 months now. Nothing you can really do about it.

Only other thing would be to take the bearing out and bring it to a bearing supply shop. They can maybe match one up for you.

I talked with a place called bearing distributors, I gave him the numbers off of it he said it was a standard Japanese bearing. But I needed to bring it down there he thought there may be an issue with the ID of the bearing. I'll let y'all know what the outcome is.

When the pulley came loose it wallowerd out the bearing behind the pulley and caused a wobble at the other end of the shaft that egged out the ID of the drive train bearing! The pulley came loose over a year ago! So, the damage that it initially did got considerable worse has time went bye. I just starting hearing the grinding noise coming from behind the pulley about 3 weeks ago.
The bearing I am waiting on, estimated date is in the US on 9/13/21? Went to a bearing shop they said that is was Brand specific and there was not a match for it! I realize that there are way more important thing going on in this world then back-ordered parts. But Damn!!
Riding is my therapy for all this shi! going on! Time to look for a second bike!

GREAT. A proprietary bearing and a three week lead time. Do you know which dimension(s) are not standard? Also, what are the numbers you gave them? Don't toss the old bearing yet. There might be a work around.
