Question,i forgot what " RAP " model is,does it mean ------- Adjustable Pre-load?

If memory serves me right didn't you offer a manual knob adjustment and elec pump adjustable pre-load models of your RoadWing Shock upgrade for the R*?

Does the know on one of the models you sell operate the adjustable elec pump or does it manually adjust pre-load spring tension?

Just trying to understand what the diff between both models you offer and how they operate to help me choose which model i will be interested in.

the rap is the manual knob (remote adjustable preload)

i personally prefer the rap. its simple to install and is about bullet proof. but if your not sure on what model you want i may have a spare pump on hand and if so i would send it along in the box for you to choose.

The pump models require relays and such to electrically adjust the hydraulic preload.
The RAP equipped models adjusts this manually by turning a knob.

I'd prefer the Rap model,does it come with a bracket to install in left side of bike just under left side cover for fuse box ?

If it comes with a brkt to install RAP knob and is also a bolt in swap for stock shock & spring with no fabrication required i'l take it as long as it fits my 2012

i dont make a bracket for the rap but you can make one out of flat stock steel or aluminum if you wish. you can also place it under the seat next to the tool bag. the only mod yoy will need is a very tiny grind on your relay arm. or if tou wish i can drill the hole off center and it should remove the need to grind.

Ok,i will take it without brk for rap knob & place it under seat if i dont want to bother fabbing a brkt.

But Is the relay arm you ref drilling off center on the roadwing shock assembly itself (which i think is what you mean) or is the relay arm you ref to on the bike itself?

If the relay arm is on the roadwing shock assembly then please do drill hole off center (as long as it doesnt cause any problem) to avoid having to grind the relay arm when i get the roadwing shock.

the relay arm is that part on your shock linkage that was the popular thing to do the "flip and grind" for the free lowering in the rear end. it looks like a plus sign. if i had it here with me i would just do it before i sent it out.

i can drill the hole a little off center and it "should" remove any need to grind but we are talking a spot the size of a dime and about as thick as a nickle with me drilling the hole in the center to begin with. i will pm you my address.
