I say paint it. It's a nice bike. I see SO many Roadstars and other metric bikes with bags/fairings that don't match/unpainted....looks terrible to me. The problem is that 2000-2007 HD dresser/touring bikes are cheap now and can be had for $4k-5k in great shape with 30k miles...and they have the fairings/stereos/bags/trunks etc. Seeing a metric with bolted on HD or aftermarket parts that are not painted seems cheesy especially when it's on an otherwise great bike. If I want a trunk/fairing or switch tonhave bags on my touring Roadstar I would honestly sell it and buy a HD at the prices I'm seeing now. I love everything painted but would not want to spend $2k on trunk/mount/hard bags/brackets/fairing/mount and paint on a bike worth $3k (like my Roadstar)....

also is your sister interested in a very nice Psychologist who likes dogs and motorcycles???

Well at least you can ride it while you think about it!

Nice looking ride. I have a '03 that seems to be the same color (graphite gray). The fairing looks good in black. I think it complements the color of the bike.

Yeah, I cant decide if it makes it a little too much black or not. Long story short I have no idea.

I've got that same year and color. But with all the black accent you have, that black fairing seems to tie right in. That's a hard question on whether to paint it or not.

Got the fairing mounted and it is everything I was hoping it would be. the quality is great, the sound system is loud and crystal clear. I just need to find the right angle to sit it at because I'm getting a little bit of wind over top of the screen vibrating my helmet all around. Now I just need to decide if I want to paint match it, any suggestions, comments, questions, concerns??

Thank you sir I certainly appreciate it. I was born on the mainland of Galveston, in Texas City. I was forcefully relocated to North Carolina with my parents as a kid lol

Well, you're a lucky fella, got a nice bike and a nice gal. Whereabouts in Texas are you from? I grew up in Killeen.

Well, she's been saying she needs to go to the eye doctor to get some glasses for the first time, but I keep telling her not to go, if she gets 20/20 vision there is no way she will be staying with me

That was real nice of your sister to pose with you. No way that's your woman, unless she has serious vision problems.

    2008 Roadstar Silverado 1700

This is my first time doing one of these so forgive me if I mess up. My first addition to my Roadstar has just shipped! I ordered a Vector Batwing Fairing with 2 6X9 Kicker speakers and a small just standard bluetooth enabled radio. Hopefully they didn't ship it on a Chinese takeout time scale, it's never just 10 minutes . As soon as it gets here ill put some pictures up of it before and after paint. Let me know if y'all have any suggestions I could use all the help and ideas I can get.
