  • Harley style trees on Roadstar frame

Has anyone put a Harley style front end on a Roadstar? Not sure if the neck post is close to same length or not. All I have is a motor and stock Roadstar frame so my options are wide open. Plan on running a 21 up front.

not sure what your planning on doing but i can make adapters to put a harley wheel on the road star axles. not sure if you want to run a harley front end for that reason or not.

Thats an option as well. I'm streamlining the front end though, raked trees 5.75 headlight and no fork covers. I honestly just have a motor and frame I purchased for 500.00. I can buy an Arlen Ness front end for 299.00, thats way cheaper than buying raked trees for a Roadstar + factory fork legs. Other option is just putting the motor in a Ness Y2K frame.

ok. there use to be a company that made a adapter you would slide over the stem of the harley tree so you could run it on a roadie. i cant rwmwmber who though.

Go with the Ness frame and eliminate the transfer case and go chain drive. They look so cool like that.

I know what you are saying and I'd love too! I do my own work and paint but I'm afraid of creating a money pit! LOL I wasnt even thinking about it till I found really good deals on the Y2K frame.

So the only reason for the transfer case is to run belt drive?

              D-fresh.

i honestly have no idea why they did it that way but the bike dont care what side its on or if its belt\chain. they could have easily made the spocket sit out further to clear a wider tire. as it does the same thing anyway on the other side. my best guess is they wanted to display side of the bike while on the side stand cleaner looking.
