  • Exhaust Slip ons

Hello everyone. I have a stock 2008 Roadstar and want to change my Mufflers. Has anyone ever seen Rinehart Slip ons work for them?

With stock headers you'd have to modify the supports, but other than that they should fit. I'm pretty sure the stock headers are 1.75"

Just measured the stock headers from my 2009. They are 1 3/8". Knew they were smaller than 1 3/4" but measured to get exact size.
The FI bikes are so damn fast, they had to reduce the diameter to keep riders from ripping their arms out of their sockets when getting on the throttle.

Seriously though, aftermarket 1 3/4" headers fit no problem.

If you are considering Rineharts, check carefully what you are buying. They make a full system headers and slipons , and the headers are 2" diameter and the inlet on the mufflers is 2". They also make just the mufflers that are designed to fit 1 3/4" headers and have have a 1 3/4" inlet and this is what you want. You have to be very careful especially buying used as most sellers have no idea unless you ask to measure them.

It's killing me to say this, but Doc is right about having to fabricate a support bracket for them.

Meh, that's just part of the joy of owning a R*. Gotta have a little MacGyver in you. Some chewing gum and a couple paperclips should do the trick.

i have stage 1 on all mine, its loud enuf so u can hear your bike, but does have a "chuffy" sound as u describe. but a nice RUMBLE. it also maintains all factory mounts, crossover , and heat shields, which are superior to aftermarket exhaust, IMHO. remember, its not a HARLEY.
