  • *2008 Roadstar Build

Picked up a 2008 Yamaha Roadstar fuelie w/ 11K on it about 4 months ago, figured this is my 6th Roadstar so I wanted to do something different with it, especially since it is the FI model which is what I've been waiting for! My buddy will be building it up. I have almost all the parts so hopefully she'll get put together this winter!

Here are the Freedom pipes & K&N f ilter installed...the O2 sensor bung threads were messed up so they needed to be retapped. Also needed to modify the rear sensor to extend it. That is a pic of the old wiring harness taking the the ends from it...soldered and heat shrink connections.

You may hear from others about that Power Commander... The stock processor can handle the mods, and others have had nothing but trouble when they tried one. I'm just sayin'!

You'll no doubt get some input from others about that... Others?

So, how does that Enforcer wheel mod work? Just add appropriate spacers? OR, do you change bearings, or use a different axle? Do the Harley rotors stay, and the Yami calipers fit right over? How does that all work? Is it a pretty clean and easy swap, or are there other critical details you must observe to get it right? I've not paid close attention, other than that alternate spacers do get used.

            Thanks!

I've heard the horror stories of the fuel management systems, but I might throw it on a dyno when it's all done.
As far as the Enforcer front wheel goes it needs wheel spacers from Smokescreens + caliper spacers (7&9mm shims). That's about it if you buy the Enforcer setup complete with rim/rotors/ bearings/ tire.

I would've gone with a 21" inch front wheel. Right now mines in the paint shop.

It is a set of brackets to mount Harley hard bags. He also makes a bracket to install a HD batwing fairing

Dchopper brackets are to hold the Harley hard bags. BTW here is the new seat:

May I ask if the backrest is adjustable front to back? If yes approximately how much adjustment is possible? I love my ed seat but haven’t found a proper fitting backrest I like. Also what seat did you go with? Thank you

Every seat is different and so is everyone's preference...so, I don't know if I will like this one! Guess I'll have to wait and see.

I went with a Z1R seat custom seat through S&S Cycle w/ EZ glide adjustable backrest. It can move a little, about 1"-2" max adjustment (without seeing it).
