Hello out there...electrical connectors

I am having problems separating connectors on my roadstar 2008 . I see an opening on the top of the connector and slide a small screwdriver into it to release the coupler but that doesn't work ..what is the trick to these electrical couplers (connectors) ??? John K2YN

………which connectors are you referring too. My bike has several different ones depending on where you are at on the bike……

I use a small Allen wrench (.050”) sharpened to a point. Slide it down the relief next to the blade from the end opposite the wire and pull on the wire at the same time.

I think that he is trying to undo the whole connector and not individual pins in the connector.

Sorry. I just reread your post. I thought you were trying to separate the wires from the connector.

A pic of the particular connection might help. I've put a little dielectric grease on them once apart to make future removals easier. If it's melted or fubar'd I've had good luck with this outfit for new connectors. http://www.cycleterminal.com/index.html
