  • My first bike build - Roadstar 1600 Cholo / Vicla project

So, as i said in my introduction i will share my bikes transformation with you guys!
When i bought it, it was.. horrible i must say.
But i got a good price, and i didn't want a stock bike either, so i didn't mind about that.

This is what it looked like. Electrical wires all over, taped sissy, bad mounted batwing, horrible fenders and the bags.. wtf?
First day in the garage i removed 25(!!) skulls and left it like this..

I had absolutley no experience in painting, but i had to do someting. So i got myself som good quality rattle cans and some striping tape.
I'm not gonna go thru and show all the process it will take to much time..

Went on and got a used stock rear fender witch i have dropped down, and a new Harley FL front fender, witch i had to modify of course.
Took away the footpegs and bought some stock floorboard.

Of course i had to have a fatbar apehanger, witch is 16" high, because my friend had one so i got a decent price.
Crashbars in front and rear comes of a Harley as well, because most people i know ride Harleys and i like to get stuff for a good price ;P
Auxillary lights was and headlight convertion to LED, tombstone rear light...

I was thinking the same thing lol. Are you going to see about getting the pipe shipped from Sweden?

  • #3
Vicla style is Sweden. That's awesome. Get some fishtail extensions on those pipes and your closer. How much money are you gonna throw at it? There are some parts that you may be I terested in located in a neighboring cou try I could tell you about. Found some unicorn parts there. PM me and I'll give you some info on those
    Go ahead, I dare ya.

Good work. Only thing I could point out at this time is the taillight is mounted too low. It shouldn't be pointing at the ground when the bike is static.

That belt guard is interesting with all the holes along the top. What is the silver part that appears attached to the axle bolt? Is that a part of the belt guard?

The ”silver thing” is half the old license plate holder, correct!
it replaced and worked as a belt tensioner, thats why it’s still there.. But i’ve made a ned piece to get rid of that

Hyn4 well, what do you wanna know?
i can post some pics tomorrow

What headers you used, and how you made the bends To go To the left side? And what diameter pipe you used for the exhaust? Yeah, lots of pics of course!!

              • #11
I did'nt use any factory made headers, i built my own
And the little left bend motherf***er was a little tricky, made out of two short radius 90 degree bends + a little more angle, not sure exactly but maybe it's like 190 degree.

For the headers you will need to make a flange to attach it to the cylinder, and a collar to seal against the gasket.
Put on the flange on the pipe you want to use, and weld the collar in place.

Here's the falnge and the collar.. This is not the flange i used in the end, because it was a little to clumsy, so i had one made to fit perfect

This was a little trycky to line upp, but not impossible

Welded together, so here's the final left header.

And mounted on the bike it looks like this.. Stock side covers wont fit tho, and i did'nt want to cut in them so i made a new pair from an old steel shelf.

And the right header.. No need to say that was a little easier right?
                Hope this can be helpful

So what are the plans for the finish on the pipes? Going to go with heat resistant spray paint?

Did some freehand drawing to get a little more personal, excessive shape than the traditional fishtails..
