    • Little update,
Added a oil pressure gauge and oil temp gauge but the temp gauge isn't here yet used a couple of autometer gauge pods to mount them to the handlebars the pressure gauge has a low and hi pressure setting and a red warning lite will come and I can set the hi lo to what I want. So when I took the picture the bike was running gauge was at 40 psi at idle hot.

I was going to add a picture but for some reason the site wont let guess I exceded amount of pictures I can post.

      • Just an idea... may not be any good at all... But, what if you didn't paint or powder coat, but went with that 'barn find' natural-looking rust finish all over everything?!?!? It would look ancient!

        • Well that was my plan from the beginning then I kind of got away from it but in the last few weeks or so I think i'm going to do just that the more I look at it that's where it needs to be.

Can't wait to see it on the ground.

          • How could I miss this thread...I'm not contemplating anything hard tail, where I live that would mean death by spine mangling withing the first 30 miles due to the very poor roads, but that's a sexy build, can't wait to see if up and running.

                  Hi Jaybo,
Finished project coming soon but have a question for you do you know what main and pilot jet and position of the needle are on your carb? Thanks

I know I'm a tad rich on main and pilot, don't remember the needle position either, but I was going to pull the carb off to paint the mounting tabs so I'll take a look and get back to you this weekend

                • Ok guy's over 3 years in the making runs and drives great and doesn't ride to bad at all with the air ride seat handles great and very comfortable with the low stance.one thing I did notice I have had a few Harleys in my day but this Yamaha has a ton more torque and very smooth.Hope you like it.

That was a ton of work, you have the skills and a shop to do this, not my style but nice all the same. Thanks for the pics, Mort.

                • Thanks Mort.

                  • Anybody that has built a bike before will recognize all the work that went in to it. I'm sure you'll get a lot of "Nice Harley!", haha.

Thanks Lucky, The wiring worked out great the control is only 31/2" x 2" controls the entire bike, all lighting, horn, start and stop and no key operates fron my phone when I walk up to the bike it activates the control through the Bluetooth on my phone also has a alarm system that will let me if someone tampers with the bike half way around the world as if I needed that,lol..The electrical is the box under the oil tank only two 22ga. wires from either side of the bars runs everything,i will try and find some pictures of the wiring.

                      • Well worth the wait! That front end just blows me away. I love it! I'm pretty sure you are the only guy on here that built his entire front end. Only thing I would change on the whole bike is the mirrors. I think it needs round mirrors. Those mirrors look too modern for a retro look. I saw some Steampunk-looking round ones on Ebay that I almost bought myself if my bike leaned that way. Anyway, great job and thanks so much for sharing with us.

                        • Thanks Father,It rides and handles much better than I thought it would and yes the mirrors have to go my wife doesn't like them either.I will try to post a video if I can figure it out or if anybody out can enlighten me how to do it.
