  • Celina M&G Changes

Copied directly from JJ on the old forum.

Hello everyone, I'm sure you all are wondering what is going on. Well to clarify the EAGLE RIDERS did not cancel the meet & greet. The trustees of the Eagles club did. They took it off the venue and booked other events. I happened to go in January to put all of our dates on the calendar for our events and meetings. When doing this I noticed your event was scheduled over, with a Golf outing and the Club Picnic. They gave me a lot of ridiculous reasons, I have had other issues with the trustees in the past. So I just agreed and said I would cancel the event.
So with that being said we will not have the club to let us set up tents and have the hall but we can still all gather, spend time talking with great friends, share experiences, laugh, have a few beers and enjoy each others company. We can still have fun. There is plenty of places to go eat and you can eat at the club.
It's not about the set-up it's all about the great people coming together again and having a good time. The Eagle Riders will be there on Friday evening and we can hang out ,catch up and make plans for Saturday. A lot of you may have different ideas of what you may want to do. We can throw around the ideas and decide on a ride. Our group is up for whatever, we know the area and can escort the group where ever you may want to go.
The Eagles club does understand that there will be a few Road Star members coming for the weekend. You will be our quests and are welcome to the club and may eat and drink just like any other M&G. The only difference is we will not be in charge of any of the festivities. We can sit back and enjoy them with you guys instead of working.
I hope many of you will still come and hang out. Over the last 6 years we have made a lot of good friends and look forward to seeing everyone. What your group done two years ago for our community with the bike raffle is still talked about. You have no idea how much it meant to the Eagle Riders that you chose to do that. We are upset about the way things are this year but it shouldn't stop us all from getting together for the weekend and having a good time.
If anyone has questions please feel free to ask. we hope to see everyone in June!!!!

My room was booked upon leaving last year. I'm still attending our 2018 event, even if just a few of us show up.

My room is still booked from last year as well. Unsure if I'll use it or not. My wife asked for a weekend away on the bike, just the two of us that weekend. Maybe down to the river for a paddle wheel river cruise with dinner and sightseeing.

If I could get the time away, this is one event that I would really like to participate. Working contract, I can't afford the 3 days away from work that travel would require. I wish all that go, safe travels and renewed friendships. Ride safe.

Too bad so many of you guys are anti-Harley and anti-Harley events, cause every year in Milwaukee over Labor Day weekend the Milwaukee Rally is a good time. And every 5 years Harley sponsors the party, and when they do it's a no holds barred party and a good time. Live music everywhere, all the dealers have festivities. This year is the 115th and if it's anything like the 110th it'll be an awesome time. My home is open to anyone who wants to come and hang out for that weekend. I've got a living room with a big floor for an air mattress

I was just on the phone with Smokes a couple hours ago and he mentioned something about that maybe happening. I only live like 25 min from Warden's shop. I've been to it several times. It's turning out really nice.

I really don't think many here are "Anti Harley" I think that if we all went to a Harley event that our Yamahas wouldn't be so welcome by the Harley riders. I also think that our bikes may be in jeopardy of damage in a group of Harley riders that are commonly known to be "ANTI JAP BIKE"

In Milwaukee, that's so far from the truth. I park my bike at Harley events all the time, most of the time I get guys complimenting it. I've even had guys in the Outlaws and Black Pistons. tell me my bike is pretty sweet. Harley guys get a bad rap from the old school days where stuff like that happened. It's not like it used to be. You'll have some that will take jabs at you and make fun of you, but it's just that, all in good fun. The guys here will welcome you with open arms. They only car that you ride.

That much I get. But I think the days of the Harley guys destroying bikes that aren't Harley are LONG gone. Most Harley guys don't care what you ride just that you ride. They might poke fun at you in the bar after a day's riding is over by that's all it is, poking fun. In the end they only care that you ride. Should come up here for the Rally one of these years, it's fun.

              Anyone interested in shirts?

Not sure if we have enough people. Think the shirt order number is 15, and that is the last number we had on the Celina 2018 Attendance List.

I asked JJ to check. Also thinking we may try to make it simple by limiting the colors. I liked the royal blue the Eagles had on their shirts last year.
              Or maybe black also..

Mike, I didn't see a shirt order list. Or I did and forgot, 70 will have that effect. One Xlg & one Lg.

Does this post mean you solved your problem and coming to enjoy our little group of diehards?

Blue is good. I liked the shirts the Eagles had.
I would like two 1 L and 1 XL, if we do put in a order.
The shirts that you ordered last year were very good.

Not far enough along to order or put up a sheet,
but JJ thinks 15 is the minimum and is checking.

Still waiting for a mount, and will have to get to some wiring issues.
Mount breaking took out wires to the tail end, I blow fuses now..

Hoping to get a chance after I get back from my trip next week.
Want to help with the shirts either way.

                        Yes, June 22-24.

Although my first year I was a bit surprised that the last day is just breakfast and good-byes.

And a reminder we are scaled back and not quit sure on plans for this year.
(Right when we were hoping to pop up numbers with Facebook)

We have full access to the Eagles club, but it will not be "our event" that weekend that is hosted at the club.

The Eagles will be planning a ride, but we are open for what we would like to do, so through the suggestions out there.

Probably also a good time to check with JJ again to see what they are planning for their ride.
I'll see if I can get her to pop back in.

                            Per JJ:

I'm waiting for a call back on shirts. They changed owners. As for the weekend, I have my group coming to the Eagles Friday night to hang out with you guys. We will then figure out ride for Saturday. We figured we would see how many came, where you would like to go , and of course the weather. Saturday night some of my group are planning to go to Maria Stein festival, fun time. Other than that not alot. The club has bands both nights and we aren't having a event per say . We have ordered this year's tokens. We are just looking forward to hanging out and catching up.

Hello everyone, as you may have seen my group is going through a rough time right now. We lost Jim in a motorcycle accident. A young kid turned in front of him turning into his own drive, says he didn't see bike.
We have the memorial this Friday and a ride around lake for the family. This has been a shock for all of us but we will be ok. Family is what makes us strong.
We are looking forward to seeing you guys next week. We will plan a ride with you guys on Friday evening for Saturday. Ride safe!!!

I'm so sorry for the clubs loss JJ , I had to go to the FB page and was hoping it was a different Jim. Truly one of the nicest men I ever met. Rest in Peace Jim.
