Very late leaving Hotel due to drying clothes at laundromat. Lady who works at hotel told me jaybo was looking for me when I was heading out LOL. Headed out took the scenic route for sure all the way down 20 on the historic Route. At a cool restaurant having late lunch. Hope to get to Twin Falls Idaho tonight to sleep. 40 miles from the hotel I had a deer run right out in front of me nearly hit her (big doe) but luckily avoided. Sure does wake you up and make you focus.

Thanks to Mike, Jenetta, Jay and Judy for a fabulously organized event! Anan and I took the slab to kelso and then the back roads from kelso to Olympia and back onto the slab. I got home safely about 3:30. A great time was had by all. We had 15 bikes and 19 Riders on Friday and 16 bikes and 20 Riders on Saturday. Outrageous coastal road and River canyon back roads in Oregon. Barbecue Friday and Saturday nights. Accommodations were great and isolated away from town. Planning for next year has begun.

Last thankful was 38 mpg running hard passing people and mostly 85 mph.... Running perfect. Love these old Yamahas. We had a great time hosting this event and hope everyone had as much fun as we did planning it and having everyone there for the rides, for the friendships, new and old. Our nightly BBQ went great with plenty of food and plenty of drinks! Darrel will be posting a bunch more pictures in his Google drive above. What was really cool was we had 9 Roadstars in attendance, which is the highest # since the NW Starfest was started! ! Lug Nut was our long distance rider travelling all the way from Indiana! Duke was so kind as to donate his custom high flow petcock and filter set up as our prize for long Distance. Christine was our shortest distance rider as she lives on 4 miles away. Her prize was to be allowed to ride her Harley with us Roadstar folks! Our Saturday lunch was a bit of a fiasco, and it took them over 2 hours to get everyone fed. They reserved the entire tiny cafe to us though, and they did try hard, but were just overwhelmed with so many people at once and a too small kitchen. I will take the blame for that one so you guys that attended can give me crap about that! The Life Northwest hotel went above and beyond letting us use their kitchen walk in cooler and a counter to store all of our food stuff. While Judy and I stayed in our RV, everyone staying in the hotel commented on the how nice the rooms were and that the beds were comfortable and there was a fridge in each room. I also have to mention the 99 Grill Cafe in Harrisburg who not only served meals quickly we arranged with them to open a half hour early to allow people to get a hearty breakfast each morning and still have time to get back to the hotel and get geared up for the ride. If you attended I would greatly appreciate your positive reviews for the Hotel and the 99 Grill, as they both went above and beyond in helping Mike and I for our event. Thanks to everyone for their donations towards food and drinks, it was really appreciated!
As Steve mentioned we are tossing around ideas for next years event. We hope to get even more Roadstar riders next year! Thanks to everyone who attended!
