Okay well since tomorrow is an important American Holiday and not everyone on here is from the USA I'm going to give 4 options.

Option 1. A pic of your bike with a member of the military (Active,Veteran, Retired, Disabled) if you can in Uniform and with a little back story of them. Pics need to be of someone other than yourself.

Option 2. A pic or video of your bike and a Fireworks display going on.

Option 3. A pic or video of your bike in or at a 4th of July Parade.

Option 4. In Honor of Nike and Colin Crapernik a pic of your bike with the Betsy Ross Flag.

    Good hunting and enjoy.

Thanks guys, truth is I was in the Navy and only about 6 of those 14 buttons can be buttoned now lol. I still have my blues but ha! It's pretty funny watching me try to get in them

    • I like what you came up with Ahodge75 so let's keep it going. Same thing, but this time the fireworks are a bonus in addition to one of the others.

The ground was wet so I only go one pict with the bike; here's a better view of the fireworks. You'll have to excuse the shaky camera, I was trying to watch the fireworks without looking at the screen.

      • 4th of July has come and gone; time for something else our international brethren can partake in as well... Your bike at a historic location, at least 100 years old, and some sort of monument or plaque commemorating the site. If you can't get your bike next to the plaque, then show the plaque in a separate photo. For our European and Mediterranean members, it needs to be at least 200 years old; which is damn near brand new for you guys. Just be glad I didn't say two thousand. We used to have some members in Greece. I'd love to see a R* at the Parthenon, or hell, even the Pyramids, The Great Wall...

Hahaha...I got the Deere out yesterday for something. I should go hook up to something and take a pic.

Since that's not in the spirit of the Scavenger Hunt I'll refrain to give everyone an equal chance.

          • I’ll edit to exotic or rare. No Mustangs, Cameros, etc. Low numbers or all original, numbers matching, odd balls. Bonus if they’re drivers.

            • This doesn't count, because I took it 4 years ago, but I was walking back to my bike when I saw this coming down the street in Calisotga. Knowing exactly what it was, because I had a model of one on my desk, I quickly grabbed my phone and began taking pictures. [My bike was right behind me.]

It's a 1966 Porsche 906, It was a purpose built race car with a fiberglass body over a tube frame chassis, powered by a flat six, very similar to the one used in the then new 911. A total of 65 were made [is that rare enough?] and in 1966, when Ford had it's famous 1-2-3 finish at the 24 hours of Le Mans in the GT40, finally beating Ferrari for the first time, these came 4-5-6-7. Here's more info on the 906, including more photos of the this very same car on track at Laguna Seca during the Monterey Historics.

The GT40 or the 906? BTW, the work Carrol Shelby did with the Cobra is what led him to take over the struggling GT40 program and finally brought Ford the Victory. He was a hell of a guy. They're making a movie about him and the whole fight between Ford and Ferrari. The movie is based on a book called, "Go Like Hell". I highly recommend it if you're into reading books on that subject. It's a pretty amazing story and well written.

            • Here's another; this time taken in Half Moon Bay. It's a 1950s Jaguar XK140 Fixed Head Coupe; 1 of 2310 left hand drive versions made. [not quite as rare as the 906, but still don't see them very often] You can see my bike in the background of the first photo, but it doesn't count either, because I took this two year ago. The owner was a really nice guy, who has a great little collection, so you never know what you'll see parked out there. Here's a white example with more photos of the engine and absolutely gorgeous interior.

I can't think of where I could find a rare/exotic car here. I could find old/vintage without too much effort. Hopefully someone finds something to keep this going.

neighbour couple doors up has one of them, it's orange. Seemed to easy. Guy on the other side has a black 64 impala SS. It is sharp Wish I still had my 61 Desoto only 900 were made from left over parts.

Well here in the midwest most VWs rusted away. I don't think the Thing had huge production numbers. So in my mind that would make it at least a viable consideration.
