I'm leaving in 48 hours! Should I bring spare gas container?

I vote for the Jack, for no other reason than the better food reviews and more rustic surroundings. Being a group ride MPG should be better, although those corners may eat some up. I'm good for 140 pushing hard to fumes. but we could have a couple people carry an extra gallon for the limited people.

Lolo Peak is pretty good food. I think it would be better than The Jack or the Hot Springs. But going all the way to Lolo would be a 330 mile day. I'm up for it though if that's what the group wants to do. I'll bring the ibuprofen.

My friend Lorena from Bozeman says, “Lolo peak brewery is a decent place in Lolo but 27 miles from Lolo hot springs.”

There's only one restaurant at the hot springs. It's ok. The Jack is good. Both are kind of expensive because of their location.

    Hot springs menu: https://www.lolohotsprings.com/bar-restaurant-casino
    The Jack Saloon menu: https://thejacksaloon.com/menu/

There's also the Lochsa Lodge. It's the only gas stop without going to Lolo. http://www.lochsalodge.com/document-...inner_Menu.pdf

Or we could go all they way to Lolo and have a few more choices. Lolo 166 miles from Konkolville. The Jack is 150.

Here's what I figured. Gas up in Kooskia before we go into the canyon. Then lunch at the Jack. That's 117 miles. Gas up at Lochsa on the way back. That's another 30 miles. If anyone can't do 150 on a tank, then I'd top off before lunch. Mileage suffers in the canyon and there's only the one gas station. So I play it safe and top off both directions.

That would be 300 miles for the day. With stops and such I figure it will be 9-10 hours. But so worth it.

Hey Tykes_Place Where are we having lunch on the Lolo Pass ride? The Hot Springs or The Jack Saloon?

I’ll PM you the address where we will be in McCall. You can stop and take a break there before we head out.

What time were you planning to be in McCall?
Sara and I are staying in McCall days prior so we will be ready anytime. I called the motel and check in time is 3:00, but he said if we are there by 1:00 he might be able to have us check in. The earlier, the better for Sara and I. She will be in her car and follow us.

We can meet up in McCall then, if you would like.
I don't want to hold you back, but would like to ride with you.
I could try to meet you a little earlier if you need me to.

Duke, looks like that would be only nine miles further for you to go through McCall.

That would be great! Would that be more miles for you? Only three hours to Orofino from McCall. You propose a time. I’m in no rush.

Yes, that would be great. We didn't get to ride together last year, but I really enjoyed using you seat. Hopefully know one has any problems this year.

I’ll be directly west on the other side of the mountain from you, coming from McCall. I wish there was a road between so we could meet and ride together.

Ride safe, and enjoy the ride. See you either on the road or in Konkolville.
