Cherohala Skyway ride suggestions

Planning to spend a week or so in the fall in NC near Bryson City.. Planning on doing a couple of day rides on/around the skyway area.. Never been and looking for ride ideas..

Beautiful area and lots of good roads, but you definitely need to hit the Tail of the Dragon. If for no other reason than to say you did it.

i did both last week for the first time on my xmax. i suggest doing the dragon thing during the week. i suspect the yuppies come out of the woodwork on their miatas, vettes and whatnot. had a great time on a 300cc bike.

Go for it I have done the dragon about nine times and they were good but just watch when you go but all the riding up there is better roads and trails that are better than a dragon.

Foothills parkway and Cherahola are much better than the dragon. But do the dragon to say you did it and get your picture. A group I rode with in June also did Route 360. I was late for the meetup so I can't give you too much info on it. Here I am on the skyway
