Heck Phil...get her welded up, a bucket or 2 of roof patch, a spool of bailing wire, and a case of duct tape and you should be golden!!

Seriously, be safe, but I understand the point of fixing what you have instead of spending extra to buy a new set of issues...

Hope you can get it roadworthy and you and Rod are able to make the trip. Love to see you there!!

    Steve & Karen

PS - Thad's idea of just a trailer to make the trip isn't a bad way to go...

Rent an enclosed U-haul to haul the bikes then sleep in the uhaul when you get there. You won’t be the only ones doing this this year.

Phil, did you already reserve a spot at KOA to park? If so, I'm going to be trailering in an enclosed trailer. It's side door is like an RV with ability to lock and open from inside. You'd be welcome to use it. It doesn't have a window so it would be dark. I might even throw in a cot.

'bout the only thing that hasn't been offered yet is to go pick him up and bring him.

Perhaps a campfire to help with the darkness, but not in Brads trailer but each site has a very nice fire pit now.

              As someone who has worked on Phil's bike many times in the past . . . . . . . I find Phil's sudden concern for safety . . .

Got the new drive pulley nut and washer installed (thanks for all the tips rsokie) . Decided to change up the look a bit and pulled the sissy bar and rack off. Wanted to put a rear fender rack on but it won't clear.

Either your bar is lower or you have a different rack.

Hmmm...that's what I was hoping to do. You're finder rack has that little lip at the end as well. Not sure exactly what's different.

Not all Landon bars were created equal it seems, less radius equals closer to fender.

Straight edge across the flats that mate to the top of sidearms measures 2 3/8" I.D.

Primitive sites still available at the KOA. Just picked one up, Mike says there's plenty for all that want to show, he'll just start lining us up.

I've been on the fence about staying, my bed is only 2 hrs away. But it seems that the weather is going to be perfect, so plans are set!

Were only a few days away and I can't wait to see everyone. Safe travels to all departing from their home locations to Eureka Springs. Looks to be great weather.

Agreed...weather looks good at Eureka Springs. My big concern at this point is the "giant 2 state power wash" Karen and I will have to run through to get there! Hopefully it won't wash off all our paint!
Maybe it won't be as bad as it is currently looking...We are expecting to roll in to the KOA around 1 or 2 Thursday afternoon.

                            See everyone there

PS - Anyone hear any more from Phil?

I’d say you two are likely the best equipped for a little rain.
You two enjoy the ride and watch out for the crazies, we come out in the rain!

It’s with great sadness and much regret to report that I failed to get my shit together enough to make it. I can't imagine how lousy I’ll be feeling in the days to come. I’m thinking of you all, ride safe and enjoy.

                            dammit

Glad to hear you made it. Sorry about the rain. Hopefully the weekend forecast (no rain) holds true.

Rain will be gone tonight!! They've even taken it out of Sunday all together. Chilly (upper 50's) in the morning bringing in a beautiful afternoon in the upper 70's, then mid 60's/high 80's Friday - Sunday!!

Me and a buddy are riding down to Peel to take the ferry across the lake for some lunch tomorrow so I can break in the new tires. And then I should be rolling in around noon on Friday.

Safe travels on your ride down. I'm trailering and will be leaving bright and early tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing that bike in person.
