2021 NW Starfest Official Thread!

Please Join Mike and myself for the 8th Annual 2021 NW Starfest! We will be hosting the event in Baker City, Oregon beginning Thursday Afternoon July 22th and ending on Sunday July 25th. We have a couple group rides penciled out for Friday and Saturday with some fantastic roads in the high desert of NE Oregon! Please let us know if you are planning to attend!

• When: July 22, 2020 to July 25, 2020

• Where: Baker City, Oregon.
• Hotel: Oregon Trail Motel & Restaurant Contact: (541) 523-5844 Address: 211 Bridge St, Baker City, OR 97814. Please call them direct and let them know it is for the NW Starfest meet and greet. It is considered a "budget" motel, (around $60/night) but reviews are solid, comfortable beds, it has a pool, its on the Powder River and its rated as being very clean. We have set up a 10 room block of rooms and it already looks like we will fill that and have more than that!
• Schedule:
• Thursday - Arrival day. Will try to plan a dinner event at a local watering hole
• Friday - Out to Hells Canyon Dam, probably leave about 8am then back part way and up Idaho 71 for lunch and from there we could go back the way we came or down thru Ontario. Ontario adds an hour. About 5 hours saddle time.
• Saturday - Leave at 9am, back roads to Vale for lunch then out thru Unity and up 245 (the little dragon) and back around to Baker City. About 3 1/2 hours saddle time.
• Sunday - Leaving day. Maybe breakfast in the morning?

I wonder if we should have a backup motel in case we have more riders than there is room at the primary motel.

I reserved 10 rooms so far at the Oregon Trail Motel and Restaurant in Baker City. To get your room reservations call them at 541-523-5844 I spoke with Kesha the manager. Tell them your with the Road Star Clinic PNW Meet and Greet.
I stopped by there last year and thought it was not a bad place, my standards may not be very high hope you all agree it's not a bad place. Oh, Price was $54 a night single.

We can see what people like for route options when we get there, but the plan is to ride up Hells Canyon. Then the other day is ether Dooley Pass A.K.A. The Little Dragon. Or the route I am taking to get there, thru the Little Alps.

I'm a maybe, along with the wife, I have a celebration of life to attend that month, but don't have a firm date as of yet.

10 bikes and 12 people so far. Any members in Idaho, Nevada maybe Colorado? Nebraska? Get your rooms reserved now and get it on your calendars So far we have New Mexico, Arizona? Montana, Washington and Oregon. Got any California folks gonna make it?.

We have Michael from Nevada coming on a Yamaha Styker. I'll meet up with him in Elko, Nv. then ride to Challis, Idaho to visit my brother, then on to the meet Thursday.
