  • Need a new seat for my fat a$$

Looking for recommendations for a seat for a fat guy to find comfortable. I want the rear seat for my wife to be upgraded as well.
2004 RS Silverado (can’t even get the radio working)

    I prefer Ultimate or Mustang.

I typically don't pack so I can't vouch for their back seat but the ED Big Tour fills the bill for me. At 300 pounds my fat ass is happy.

If you’re tall, the ED Big Touring. If not, then the Ultimate.

Remind me to try your Ultimate seat for a leg of the ride at Starfest, I want a real life comparison to my EDBT seat which after about 250-300 miles is not feeling great...

If you wanna ride up to Newmarket I have a ed big touring, Corbin and ultimate you could try for yourself. I have no rear seats for your wife to test tho.

OK, but I don’t think any seat is heaven once we get to a certain age.

Check out Diamond Custom seats. Most comfortable seat i've had yet on my R^. Tried both mustang and the ED big touring seats neither were as comfortable as the Diamond. It will take 30 days for them to build it to your specifications but well worth the wait.

Not heard of them before. What is the average price for a "standard" seat?

Depends on what you want for extras. You will have to call them but t they are right around the same for no frill extras as mustang and ED. These aren't off the shelf seats they will ask your weight, height and inseam and any problems you are experiencing with back/tailbone pain. I bought the complete set rider seat with backrest and passenger seat and it was $639.00, right around what you'd pay for the off the shelf seats. You can buy just a rider seat with or without backrest. So best to call and get a price. I had tailbone issues with all the seats ,stock, mustang and ED. Got the diamond custom and no more issues, sure wished I picked the Diamond seat first. Mark at DCS is a nice guy and can
                          quote you a price. .
As far as the age issue I'm 64 yrs old and i can spend the entire day in this seat with no pain or ill effects the following day. .

Good point. My lady is 5'7" and goes 160 lbs. I've asked her which seat she prefers and she likes the Diamond seat better than the ED I used to have. She said that after a day long ride her upper leg got sore on the ED and the Diamond cradles her in a pocket with more hip support. Mark from DCS will ask your weight, height, and inseam along with those same measurements of your passenger. He will also ask any issues or concerns of back pain and what your major complaints are of your present seat. If some are happy with the Ed or mustang or the ultimate seats that's fine but those seats didn't work well for me. We are all different sizes with our own problems but with all those other seats you all get the same off the shelf seat regardless of your issue. My suggestions is to call them for a price..
